Influence of load-shedding and night on SiR insulator environmental aging under AC test voltages

چکیده

Abstract Insulators play a critical role in healthy transmission under the influence of operational stresses (OSs). OSs include environmental (ultraviolet-radiations, seasonal heat and humidity variations, pollution (inert active), etc.) electrical (electric field distribution, corona, etc.). can deteriorate insulators, jeopardizing transmission. In this experimental study, four silicon rubber (SiR) insulators with different concentrations micro nano-silica fillers are tested specially designed fabricated compact chamber for 1920 h OSs, un-scheduled load shedding, night factors more realistic deterioration characteristics. Insulators' potential hydrophobicity, leakage current characteristics considered. Experimental results reveal affected insulators' profile due to hydrophobicity loss electric distribution variations. Moreover, SiR regained insulation heavier inner molecule replacement dissipated degraded outer lower weight insulating molecules. This property provides reusability opportunity power system networks, unlike traditional insulators.

Analysis of Flashover Voltages of Disc Type Insulator under Artificial Pollution Condition (TECHNICAL NOTE)

Through this paper work we have analyzed the effect of different contaminants on the flashover by creating artificial pollution condition, considering the natural condition where more than one salt as contaminant deposits on the surface of insulator at a time, under the wet condition that cause flow of highly leakage current, that leads to flashover. We choses the mixture of different salts, so...

Shedding light on night myopia.

First described during the 18th century, the cause of night myopia remains a controversial topic. Whereas several explanations have been suggested in the literature, particularly related with accommodation or chromatic shift in scotopic light conditions, no definitive explanation for its aetiology has been provided. We describe an experiment in which ocular refractive state was objectively and ...

Supervisory Control of a Hybrid AC/DC Micro-Grid with Load Shedding Based on the Bankruptcy Problem

In this paper, a supervisory controller is proposed to manage the power flow in a hybrid AC/DC micro-grid for both grid-connected and disconnected modes. When the hybrid AC/DC micro-grid is connected to the utility grid, power surplus or shortage leads to power trade between the micro-grid and the utility grid. In the grid-disconnected mode, the renewable power sources (wind and solar generatio...
